The PEEL Basketball League: Summer Season is off and running! Games are played Saturdays at Gold’s Gym Richmond (the old Grizzlies’ practice facility) on the NBA-sized court.

Thanks to a great weekly effort by stefanfoto.net, there are always great action pictures from all of the games that are posted online every week.

We are pleased to announce the Dates for the Fall Season of the PEEL Basketball League. We will be starting up the league on September 27th and we'll be wraping up with the All Star Game and Playoff Finals on December 6th.

All Games will be played at Gold's Gym Richmond at Steveston Highway and No. 6 Road in Richmond Bc. This amazing facility used to be home to the Vancouver Grizzlies, and has been restored by Gold's Gym to once again host basketball.

The Fall Season of the Peel will introduce a Varsity Division for players in Grades 10, 11 and 12. We are limiting the varsity division to 6 teams, and games will be played once or twice a week until the High School Season Offically starts. More Details to come as the season gets closer!

The Vancouver Secondary School's Athletic Association (VSSAA) has chosen Bravado Sports & Entertainment to plan the inaugural Sports Dinner. The function will be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, BC on October 24, 2008.

This Gala Dinner will benefit the VSSAA and their efforts to improve and expand athletic opportunities for secondary school athletes (recreational and elite).

The Dinner is approaching quickly and tickets are limited! Make sure you get your's now; its going to be a great evening!

When the Vancouver Grizzlies were in town, they built and practiced out of a multi-court complex in Richmond. It was a hit! Since they left however, the facility has barely been used, especially for basketball.

Now it has life again. The 40,000 + facility is now going to be home to the new Gold's Gym Richmond. The NBA sized court is back open for the Summer Season of the Peel Basketball League.

Renovations are now underway. The facility will include top-of-the-line work out equipment, yoga studio, juice bar, and mens' and ladies' lounges. Look for the new facility ready to open in December or January. It will truly be the ultimate health club. Everything you need to work out, plus the top basketball court in BC!
